Thirty-one Athens High School choir students competed last month in the Region 21 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at Whitehouse High School. Fourteen are advancing to the state contest in Austin this May. Those with an excellent rating are (top row, from left): Emmanuel Pinedo, Jade Parker, Anabel Guerrero, Irais Hernandez, Dakota Emanis (advancing to state with ensemble), Sydney Harrod, Kaitlin Prewitt and Chloe Sherman. Those with a superior rating are (middle row, from left): Diego Campa, Brendie Brimer, Ashley Moreno, Michelle Sanchez, Hannah Barber, Yahir Miranda, Tristan Woods and Hunter Rasco.
